Peter Cho Band
Native to Los Angeles, Peter Cho resides in New York City. Peter is a versatile guitarist with influences in classical, jazz, bluegrass, and rock music. In 2003, he graduated in Classical Guitar Performance at the University of California. Santa Barbara, studying with John Dearman and Brian Head. In the fall of 2010, Peter finished his studies at USC in Studio Jazz Guitar (M.M.), studying with Bruce Forman and Carl Verheyen. Recently, Peter played at the Gotham Jazz Festival (with the New Wonders) and at the American Repertory Theater for the show, Borrowed Cash. He currently plays in a variety of settings: instrumental rock trio (Peter Cho Band), jazz guitar duo, trad. jazz banjo (with Katie Cavera - Disneyland), and solo classical/fingerstyle guitar. In the summer of 2013, Peter toured alongside his mentor, Bruce Forman (Cowbop), as part of the Licks on Route 66 festival. In June 2014 the Peter Cho Band EP was released. The Peter Cho Band is in the process of writing a new full-length recording and Peter is also playing and singing hot jazz (jazz from the 20's and 30's) in addition to playing guitar, banjo, and mandolin in musicals throughout NYC.
